Pleasant View Farm, a horse boarding facility located at 1121 Medina Road. Pleasant View Farm is tucked back off of Route 18 and located on a beautiful 30 acres of riding trails with inside and outside arenas. This boarding facility has approximately 54 stalls and a well-located indoor viewing arena. Pleasant View Farm offers a very relaxed home like atmosphere, where boarders of all ages can come and enjoy one of their favorite hobbies.

Job Purpose
The Farm Assistant is responsible for the daily care of horses, including feeding and turnout, to ensure their well-being. This role also involves performing routine cleaning and maintenance of the barn and stalls, maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment for the animals and farm operations.

Responsibilities
- Daily Horse Care: Feed horses hay, grain, and water twice daily, ensuring their nutritional needs are met. Turn horses in and out of their assigned stalls and paddocks.
- Barn Maintenance: Clean stalls, replace bedding, sweep barn aisles, and routinely clean horse water troughs to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
- Equipment & Heavy Lifting: Drive a hay truck and tractor daily, and stack 8-10 hay bales multiple times a day as needed.
- Customer Interaction: Regularly interface with boarders by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a professional manner.
- Teamwork & Work Ethic: Follow instructions, seek guidance from the Supervisor when necessary, and perform all duties with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Requirements
- Horse Care Experience: At least one year of experience caring for horses, either as a hired worker or volunteer, with a basic understanding of horse behavior.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Physical Ability: Must be in good physical condition and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Outdoor Work Environment: Comfortable working with live animals in an outdoor setting, in all weather conditions.
- Age & Licensing: Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid state driver’s license.
