Job Purpose

The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and optimizing HVAC systems in company-managed, multi-unit commercial buildings and facilities. This role ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards to maximize system performance and longevity. The technician plays a key role in maintaining a comfortable and reliable environment for tenants and occupants while minimizing operational costs.

Responsibilities

  • HVAC Installation & Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain HVAC units, ductwork, piping, thermostats, and control systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • System Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Locate and diagnose HVAC system issues, applying technical expertise while adhering to local and national codes.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, including filter and fan belt changes, system checks, and adjustments to prepare facilities for occupancy.
  • HVAC Control Monitoring: Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot HVAC control programs to maintain efficiency and functionality across properties.
  • Professionalism & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of completed work, report additional maintenance needs, and provide excellent service to tenants and colleagues.

Requirements

  • HVAC Experience: Minimum of three years of experience as an HVAC Technician, working with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems.
  • Certification: HVAC Certification is required to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Valid Driver’s License: Must hold a valid Ohio Driver’s License, maintain a safe driving record, and carry automobile liability insurance.
  • Tools & Equipment: Required to have personal basic hand tools necessary for performing HVAC-related tasks.
  • Preferred License: Florida HVAC License is preferred.
