Job Purpose
The Accountant is responsible for supporting the Accounting team in delivering timely, accurate, and consistent financial information that informs critical decision-making by senior management and outside consultants. This role plays an essential part in the analysis of historical and current financial data for sales tax reporting compliance.

Responsibilities
- Sales Tax Reporting: Gather, analyze, and prepare sales tax information, utilizing historical and current financial data for senior accounting review.
- Invoice Accuracy Review: Review customer revenue invoices and subcontractor costs for accuracy and relevance of financial data.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the general ledger and conduct scheduled or ad hoc account analyses.
- Accounts Payable and Credit Reconciliation: Prepare weekly accounts payable invoices and monthly credit card reconciliations, ensuring accurate coding and entry for senior review.
- Year-End and System Knowledge: Support year-end review processes with external CPA firms, and develop expertise in Sage 100 and PVC Connect software modules to streamline data flow.

Requirements
- Education and Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management; OR 3 to 5 years of related experience without a degree.
- Accounting Background: Minimum of one year of accounting experience in a progressive organization.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced skills in MS Excel required for data analysis and reporting.
- Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in financial data review and reporting.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial information and prepare comprehensive, clear reports for senior accounting review.
